It is recommended you shower before your appointment and is not wearing any type of moisturizer, antiperspirant, or fragrance anywhere on your body.

Before beginning, a water-based gel is applied to the area. This ensures you do not feel any heat and helps to minimize any discomfort or mild pain you may experience. After the area is worked on, the gel is removed. No hot tub, sauna, hot showers, tanning beds, or rigorous exercise are allowed for up to 48 hours as pores are open and susceptible to potential redness, irritation, or even infection. It is also helpful to keep the skin clean and wear lose fitting clothes that don’t press up on the skin.
